my 91 has a fuelinjected 460 and wont start. it turns over.on either tank but wont fire.it smells like its getting gas.but the fuel pump dosent make that sound when i cycle the key. thats on either tank ,is this fuel related or something else? any ideas thanks FFF

 

I had the same problem with my 96 460. I would get gas and would turn over but wouldn't start. I first thought is was the fuel pumps So I took the fuel filter off and turned the key on to see if each pump was pushing out fuel. They were. There's a much better and safer way. ( Check fuel pressure at the rails with a gauge.) Next I checked the spark. I ended up replacing the ignition module and thought I had it fixed but the problem came back a few minutes later. It turned out to be a bad ignition coil.
