Info on older Ford aluminum cobra jet heads

Looking for info on the older Ford aluminum cobra jet heads. I think the casting numbers were M6049-A429. I know they are not nearly as good as the newer super cobra jet aluminum heads. Are they comparable to the cast iron cobra jets as far as flow #'s and performance? A used 460 I've been considering buying has these heads on it and I'm trying to figure out what to offer the guy for the engine. I'm not looking for a race motor so I don't need the best heads available. Also, is there anything to look out for or be concerned with on these heads? -thanks-

They are really not that bad a set of heads. I would be worried about cracks or any home porting job gone bad.
