Suspect Something Other Than Injectors
Less than 8K miles on ford remans - 1,3,5 and 7. I noticed a miss last week and threw a code for #5. Checked power balance on IDS clone and confirmed #5 was low. No other codes.
I prepared for tear-down today, but wanted to change the oil and filter first. Checked IDS first and 1 and 3 were down. Changed fluids, tested again. 1, 3, 5 and slightly 7 was down with B1342 code as well. Things are getting weird! I am not convinced it is the injectors at this point. ICP pressure is good at startup, but only runs up to 2K or so. I just checked ICP vs ICP desired Friday and it was spot on and building 3-4K psi.
Any thoughts on next steps or stats to look at? I am thinking of pulling the valve cover to see if I see any leaks. I have replaced all orings/seals less than 20K ago. The truck has been running great and just got back from a 500 mile 5th wheel towing trip. Ran great...

With 3-4k psi for the ICP, you really think you have an issue with high pressure oil leaks? I would be surprised if that were the case, but stranger things have happened I suppose.
Edit - I need better reading skills. I read it again and saw the part about 3-4k Friday, but now only 2k. That said, I still don't think a low pressure in the HPO system would limit itself to the passenger bank only. Could be wrong, but in this situation I think the lower HPO pressure is an effect, not a cause.

B1342 - you need to know which module reported the code. It means an internal module failure and it could be set by the following modules: ABS Module, 4X4 Control Module, Parking Aid Module, Vehicle Security Module, Restraints Control Module (RCM), Instrument Cluster, HVAC Module (EATC), and the Trailer Brake Control Module.

For the injectors, I would do a bubble test. You may very well have an injector leaking combustion gas back into the fuel feed system affecting all injectors on that bank.
If you change that side's banjo bolt to the 6.4 banjo bolt, you will eliminate the check valve and more easily see a failure when doing the bubble test. Personally, after the test, I would put the original banjo bolt back in. I like having them (check valves). They can keep a problem like I described above from wiping out all 8 injectors.
The root cause is often times low fuel pressure. If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge, then I would get one.
Since #5 was the first to throw codes, it was probably the first to go. From what I understand, if this situation is in fact what you are experiencing, most techs would replace all injectors on that bank.
That said, hopefully I am wrong on this.

I will do the bubble test tomorrow evening and report back. I do suspect the low pressure is just related rather than the cause. I will complete the air test Friday to confirm.
I do not have a way to check or monitor fuel pressure. I will get a setup installed to see if that is the culprit.

I have not driven it since #5 went down. It has sat in the yard for 6 days, then 1, 3, and 7 were showing weak upon a last second test before tear-down today. I hope #5's issue did not ruin the others. I only ordered one injector Tuesday...

will run it's se;f when you first connect the unit. You can also force
it to run again. I don't have the right workbook at hand to look uo
the B1342 DTC right now. But if you look at the DTC displayed
in IDS it should point you in the correct direction.
EDIT: I did a little quick searching on the net and I need to find the pinpoint testing steps for this one.

Sean - Section 419-10-3 starts you off with 8 different actions depending on which module is reporting the code/failure. These modules are listed in post #5.
The actions listed for each module are:
Clear the DTC's
Repeat the self test
If the DTC returns, install a new xyz module (where xyz is the module reporting the failure)
I don't think there are any more "pinpoint tests" for this code or for the individual modules, at least I couldn't find them

I can do the bubble test and further tests for the B1342 tonight.
I ordered three more injectors, a fuel pressure testing kit, and fuel filters. These items will not arrive until Monday, so I will not have much to report over the weekend. I did not want you guys to think I dropped off after you took the time to assist. I do appreciate the willingness to help. Thank you!
