What exactly is a y block?

Well, they're not quite that loud, but they sure raise a clatter! I'm sure that they need adjusted, but I'm going to need the process explained to me...
At the end of March, I'm getting another '64 3/4 ton. Then, the fun begins! Strip the truck I have now, and Frame-up it, including performance-oriented 312, o/d tranny, and custom interior/stereo. When it comes to body-work, choose the best parts and combine the trucks. Sell the rest.
SO, the engine that I have now, will be rebuilt shortly, so I'm not too worried about it.
