302 Head Casting Numbers

I have a set of 302 heads with the casting numbers C9TE, just wondering what year or any other info you can get from this number. Thanks. Dan

302 Head Casting Numbers

I found a listing in my book "How to Rebuild your Small Block Ford" by Tom Monroe. C9TE-C. This head was cast in '69, has 58.2cc ports, and probably 1.78" intakes and 1.45" exhaust valves.

302 Head Casting Numbers

The 'T' in the casting number refers to a head designed for a truck, otherwise what was mentioned above is correct.

Look for a 4 character number/letter combination inside marks that look something like this, ie * 9L14 *
This will tell you the year/month/day of casting.
Also, what was the letter suffix to the C9TE number?
