Ford F150 4x4 1995 Automatic transmission

Transmission shifts in forward and reverse. It is slipping in 2nd gear, is this a
linkage problem or could you tell me what is possibly wrong? Would you also jnow how I can find out what transmission I have? I don't have an owners manual?

Thank-you Paul

On the blue tag in the driver's door opening is a one letter code under "TR." If it is an E you have an E4OD, if it is a U it is a 4R70W.

With either trans it probably needs a rebuild or replacement.
