Exclamation CEL Paper Clip Codes?

1996 F150 4.9L EFOD
CEL is on and I want to know if anyone knows a link that shows how to pull the codes with a paper clip? I have searched several sites, but it seems the pulg configuration on those sites does not match mine. All the sites show a sort of triangle shaped pulg with an addtional single connector. Mine is a rectangle with two rows of contacts. 3 on first, 4 on second, no additional connector?

Thanks in advance... JJ

Some 96s might be OBDll if sold with CA emissions. Most of these are MAF too. The OBDll connection is inside the cab on the lower dash panel.

my truck was made is Missouri but shipped here in NC. I have the OBDII as well. you can pick-up a tester at autozone for like $70-$200 Depending on what you want.

Yeah, there is a real good chance your '96 is OBD-II. If that's the case, many auto parts stores will read your codes for you for free.

All 96 F150's were OBD-II, regardless of whether it was California emissions or Federal. It was only the trucks over 8500 lb GVWR that did not have to comply with OBD-II in 96.

Well, I consider 100% "a real good chance".
