REmoving pin stripe

How do I remove the factory pin striping from my truck?

if you have a local autobody supply store get one of thesehttp://http://www.detailgear.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=200it's the easiest quickest way to remove striping

A grinder!?! You're not serious, right?

Those stripes, I believe, are under the clear coat and can not be removed with an abrasive type pad. I think....

Im not saying i did it. But im saying i have seen someone do it. But that was along time ago. Like 6 or 7 years ago. So mayb i could be confused with the tool that the person actually used. But alls i kno is when i saw it happen, nothin happend to the paint of the car.

yup just about. It was when my pops bought a brand new e150. I am pretty sure that it was a 2000 md year

I'm not gridning anything. Need to take truck to autobody shop anyway for them to look at the bumper they sprayed amlost a year ago. I will ask them what they think.If it is a big process I will have to live with the stripe. I think Monsta is right on with being under the clear coat.
