How high will they go?

There's another set of "milk truck" wheels on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Milk-...spagenameZWDVW

I wonder how high they will go, or if the bidding will meet the reserve. This set was bid up to $4100 last fall and didn't meet reserve.

This one sold for over $250 about two and half years ago.

Way too expensive, wonder why no repops unless there`s not enough demand.

These will bring a good buck. The vintage salt flats racers and street rodders go nuts for them.

The blue ones don't appear to be Wide-5, almost look like 5 @5"

It's all Al Gore's fault...if he didn't invent the internet then things like this would still be rustin' away on a old Divco truck behind the barn.

Just an update. I suppose most you don't care but it's free and I like to see have how they'll go so I thought maybe some else would.

$2,550.55 with two hours to go. Still hasn't met reserve even though the seller has lowered the reserve.

Honestly, if I had a '30's or '40's rod, I think I'd buy a set of repros in a heartbeat if they were $100 a pop...They just look right. Aluminum just doesn't look right on an old-old car/truck.

Heck, I may just go to the local JY and sort through his pile. Pay him $50.00, and turn around and sell them for $3500. Then I can buy that '53 Merc I've wanted, lol.

$2700, and didn't meet reserve.

Man, I wish I could stumble onto a farm auction with a set of these. I would almost guarantee no one else would know what they were for and I could get them for less than $100 for the set. I would love to see the look on my wife's face as I'm bidding $100 on a set of old,"junky" wheels. Then I again Iould like to see her face when I would sell them for $2500!

I wonder how many of these might have been just tossed out over the years.
