meet up around 11 in the valley and head to the santa clarita fire trail. 4 rangers, 2 2wd and 2 4wd. get to the trail head a little after midnight...get about a quarter of the way up and there is a ton of snow from the last week up there...we keep pushing one of the 2wds get stuck but is easily pulled back and gets through easily after that...well around 3 AM we pretty much got to a point where the 2wds could not get any further...and unfortunately that was maybe 2000 yards from the exit...someone walked ahead and saw that the jeep tracks from previous wheelers stopped there and turned around...
so we get everyone turned around after me pulling everyone out...we are making it fine until one uphill hairpin...i was in the lead now and was the only one who could make it...we were stuck there for about 3 hours...came down to me having to get my chains/cables put on and pulling everyone about a quarter mile up hill including the other 4x4...got off the trail around 930...
damage report: one bumper/valance pulled off slightly (hopefully an easy fix), and one guy lost all brakes so he had to have AAA come get him...
These are from Alon:

Thanks for posting the pictures and video. You guys might have made it through if the turn-around had not been so chewed up. Love that clear blue sky and snow covered road -
so did you fill your bed with snow to try to get traction or did something else happen? looks like some real deap ruts, i love to see people with newer trucks getting out there and having fun, makes me feel good inside.
Awesome pics! Love the snow and the clear skies. No way would I have tried that in a 2wd tho.
Hehe... And I was in the lead for most of it in 2wd. Figure if I could make it up any of the other could. And if i got stuck, we had a 4wd behind me to pull me back.
