1970 351 Cleveland

I just bought a "70" 351 C on ebay that was rebuilt about 8 years ago but never used. I have taken it down to relube and to see just what I have.

4v closed chamber heads
new flat top piston
hyd lifters

My question is: the cam. It's new, there is no mfg name on it, the only ID info I can find on it is, it has an NB on the space between the last lobe and the rear bearing guide and it has a 10 between the last two lobes, and it also has a yellow paint strip over the NB area.

Any ideas? I looked all over the internet and come up with nothing.

If I had to guess. I'd say those markings are nothing more than casting identification numbers for the core. Without the cam card all you can do is put it in straight up, 0 on the chain. Even if you degree it in you would have no idea where it's supposed to be in at. I'd probably just go buy the cam I want.

you can "map" the cam out easy enough with a dial indicator and degree wheel, you should be able to get a very good idea of what it is, you should be able to create your own "cam card" for it
