Any one know if you can mount all the sensors in the spare to keep from having to buy another set of sensors?

might be a good idea. just depends if the vehicle will register the front 2 sensors being in the bed.

the other problem I can think of is that the spare tire itself (already has 1 sensor) won't have room on the inside for 5 sensors).

Just a thought ..... If we place each sensor in a water tight plastic box and mount each one some where in the frame near the tires. Will it work that way???

I may be wrong, but I don't think the spare has a sensor.

well, that is just stupid. thanks for the info on that.

as for a watertight box question. You will need an a box that can be pressurized to about 50lbs or less and hold that pressure.

I don't understand why everyone is strapping the sensors with bands and straps. I have the sensors in my wheels. I put my nephews wheels on my truck and for got to swap sensors. When I got home I took my sensors off my wheels and put them away to use when I get new tires next year or so. The sensors should just pop right back on with no problems. I just went out and tried it and they will clip right back on. If you look at the sensor there is a brown or tan plastic clip on one end of the sensor. Take a small flat screwdriver and on one end of the clip move it towards the middle and it should pop out then you have to take the screwdriver and where the plastic piece was you will see and silver piece of the band. You just push that forward and pull the sensor away and it should pop right off. Hope this helps.

The sensors will go on and off a band, but if you get a set of wheels without bands you will need the bands to mount the sensor on.

You can also reset the tire sensors with a magnet... im not sure if it will work on all kinds of sensors, but i have done it on a few vehicles.
