never seen them oem. Besides, that is not the oem 4x4 tire size either for the 18" rims, it's 275/65/18

When my BIL recv'd his '07 Screw... it had Michelins on it but I can't recall the model... It is a "Corporate"... Fleet truck though. That alone may have had some different tires (and other things) w/in the pkg. group.
I'll try to look this weekend....

I have Michelin Pilots as the stock tires. They are 275/65/18.

Wouldn't expect to find any sizes other than 275/70-18 or 275/65-18 on an FX4 and I have never seen a Ford Truck with Cross Terrains, these are usually found only on SUV's. They may have been OEM on an Expedition but not on an F150.

The only 18" tires we have put on the FX4 at the plant are the B.F.G. rugged trail. The few (very few) Michelin we have put on were 17".

For mostly highway driving the BFG Long Trails can be an amazing tire. My dad had a set go almost 100k miles on a Chev Tahoe and he pulled a fairly heavy trailer for many of those miles. In all fairness though the replacement set he bought did not seem to be wearing that well when he traded off the Tahoe which indicates some substantial inconsistency in quality control.

cross terrain vs long trail

Guys,
I had done some research on the Michelins before I traded my Expe for my Super crew. They have a tire rating or{UTQG} of like 500....that was for the 255 70-
-16s though. They do offer a replacement of same size, for the F150 but cost a lot moore than same size long trail....FYI the info I gathered came from Sams club site. I did have the Michelin LTX M/S on my Expe as a replacement from Ford forthe Firestoone wilderness...sarry tire by my expectations....onlly place they were good was on snow for me....in wet they were a nightmare....I have stuck with the Michelinsince....though these long trails are winning me over...
YMMV

I think this is incorrect my 2004 Screw FX4 came from the factory with GY wranglers. Still have the spare brand new under the box

Michelin makes very good tires. they don't exactly look the best (aggressive), but they are hands down in the top 1 or 2 for quality and longevity. You can easily expect 45,000 or more miles out of a set. just be prepared to pay for this though.

I had the LTX M/S. If I ever have to buy just plain old street tires that see occasional offroad, I'm going with the LTX or the Bridgestone

but, I've got this strange need to have mudders

oh yeah, are these 255-70-18 a P or LT tire?
