TCI MII spring install

What direction is the end of the spring that sits on the lower contor arm suppose to point? It looks like there is a groove in the cup for it to point forward on the drivers side and back on pass. side, but I cant seem to get them to sit in there right. The bottom cup is so much farther out (towards the wheel) from the top mount the spring wants to slide inboard at the bottom. It seems as though the cup is welded to far towards the wheel on the arm, but I know other people are using TCI kits without problems. What am I missing here? I spent 2 hours trying to post a pic but I cant get the pic size big enough to make usefull. I give up for tonight.

Thanks

I was just looking at the pictures in your gallery and everything looks the same as when I installed mine. You have to wait until you get some weight on the front to break in the springs and they will eventually sit right. I also had to wait to install the front shocks until the front end came down.

I had a hard time getting mine to seat right. I rented a spring compressor from the local parts store. I’m not sure if this was the correct way, but I used a pry bar to push the spring out to line up lower spring pocket. As I was prying I let the spring down with the compressor. It still took a long time. Every time I thought that I had it the end of the spring would not line up correctly in the pocket. So, I’d rotate the spring and try again.
