85w-140 rear end fluid, to thick?
I changed my rear axle fluid today, and the only fluid my parts store had was valvoline 85W-140. Is this to thick of a fluid to be running in the winter? I dont have a manual but on the back of the bottle it says it is recommended for all hypoid differentials (conventional and limited slip) where API GL-5 or MT-1 fluid is specified. My axle is a dana 60 with 3.54 gears and a factory limited slip. So is this fluid ok, and do I need to add any friction modifiers? Thanks

The parts store should have it I believe. A guy gave me a tube of it he didn't need, but I never did use it.
Napa sells it. Try this link.
