Lincoln 430 FE?
You would be hte DARE to be like no one else kind of person. There are no never have been any and will probably never be any performance products for these engines. Everything would be custom fab for a motor like that to get some good power out of it. But, hey you are one of those guys already we all are. We drive old Fords not brand X. LOL

So basically what your both saying is that I would need a very well equiped machine shop to handle any performance items I wanted to add. Anyone know a good source for photos of these things? I want to see what this thing looks like. I was on a deployment when I found out about it. I'm curious to know what type of mounting I would have to swap my truck too. I have both front and side right now but I want to stay with one and get rid of the other.

The 430 was available in Thunderbirds in the late 50's with tripower. They were a brute in their time. Dad put one in a 60 F-100 4x4 in 1961. Tons of torque at about 1800 rpm. Would just rip the spider gears out of a 9 in on pavement. (Ask me how I know that!) It's probably so obsolete that you can't find parts for it anywhere. I wouldn't waste my time and money on it since 460's are cheap and plentiful.

Son't be such a wet blanket 66Ranger.....The MEL would be way cool in a truck. The shop where I work rebuilt a 462 for a guys lincoln last fall. We had no trouble finding any part we needed. We did have to wait 2 or 3 days for the pistons and new valves to come in....usually we can get FE parts overnight. We'll see if we can get Barry in on this conversation....I think he knows how to put a MEL into an FE truck. The bell pattern is the same, I think. DF

DF you should know that the 64 F-100 still had the "Y" blocks in them. In fact mine was a 292 with a floor mounted 3 speed. I still have all the frame mounts intact still. I did find a few Fords when I was in FL that had front mounted FT's installed. The bellhousing is very interesting when it comes to mounting it to the frame.
