Hard vacuum lines

I was poking around under the hood and found a lot of hard plastic vacuum lines that were broken. I went to the parts store and got caps for all of them - it idles much better now.....

Anyway, I can't figure out where all these go. Does anyone have a vacuum schematic for these? How do you guys repair them? I was considering using a 1/8" ID hose glued to the hard line as a patch.

Depending on the type of lines but i usually just replaced plastic vacuum lines with normal vacuum rubber hose the same size. The parts store sells them by the foot or usually by 15' roles or so. As schematics go i don't know unless a chilton's manual has them.

My guess is that one goes to the distributor, another to the dash and heater/AC door controls. The rest, who knows... are the smog control devices intact?

no, this is all smog control stuff. THe HVAC stuff has been accounted for. I believe everything to be there, it's just missing hoses. It came from a smog state, so it can't be missing too much.

If you pick up a Chiltons manual for your vehicle it has the vacuum hose routings listed in diaghram form. That will help put things in the right places.
