I know for sure they never made one. I guess it's possible that someone makes an adapter. I just have to ask why? The factory Lightning transmission contains parts from the Powerstroke's tranny to withstand the abuse. It also has the much needed overdrive, so you can run a low geared rear, and still get decent mileage. Get a Lightning transmission and the proper computer.

I know a person who tryed the same thing with his mustang. He got the C-4 trany from Performance Automatic at www.performanceautomatic.com And if you need the right K-member and arms you can get them at www.paracing.com. Hope This helps.

Reason is probably that it adds huge cost to project for something that's not all that durable. (Read Mustang and Fast Fords article on theirs failing.) And that thing is huge, It probably wont fit anything but a truck without cutting the floorpan. The prototype Crown Vic that has a V-10 in it used the same tranny. They had to cut the floorpan to make it fit. And the Vic has a lot more room under it than a mustang.
