I am changing the engine in my 1999 F 150 to a 2001 4.6 that has COp instead of the Coil Packs. I would like to upgrade to the COP. What's needed to make the change? I have the wiring harness for the COP engine. Do I need to change the 19990computer or will it work with the COP engine?

To properly run the COP system-you'll need to use the '01 EEC and harness.You'll also need the instrument cluster to keep the PATS system happy. Best thing to do it swap your coil pack ignition onto the new engine and be done with it. You can modify the '99 harness to fire the COPs in a waste-spark configuration like the old coil packs are,but it's a bit of a hassle.
