2 or 2 1/2 leveling kit whats the difference?

I see some people have the 2" others 2.5". What is the difference other than obvviously the size, but why do they have both? If i get the 2.5" is my rear gonna look saggy then? or ?

After researching this my self a few months ago, some folks complained that the 2.5 tended to make the rear look saggy. I believe most go with the 2 inch auto spring units. However, I decided to go with the Bilstein shocks with the 2 inch adjustable fronts.

I did 2.5 and in my opinion, the rear did look 'saggy'. Maybe just because my eye was used to seeing the truck raked like a '70's muscle car. But in the end, I wound up getting a rear add-a-leaf.

IMO, if you are 'just' looking to level the truck, go with 2". If you want just a little lift all the way around, go 2.5" and look in to add-a-leaf or air bags for the rear.

The difference is the 2" is a 1/2" shorter than the 2.5"

I think the 2.5" kit levels out the truck perfectaly and if you put anything in the bed, it gives it the sagging look.

Bridge. I was looking at the Bilstein setup on there web site and read a few threads on here about their shocks. I was wondering how you liked the ride it gives. Also did you put it in yourself or go to Bilstein retailer. The reason I am asking is that I would like to use this setup and wondering if I could do it myself. I have put a lift on a jeep but that was all leaf spring and have never worked with coil springs.

Husker,
My decision to go with the Bilsteins was in thought only thus far I'm yet to pull the trigger and buy them. I'll probably wait until the weather cools off a bit around here...sometime in January.

Looks like $380 on ebay is the best price going. When I do finally purchase I plan on installing them myself. I looked at the service manual and it looks do'able. Judging from other posts they give a bit stiffer ride, but the handling is suppose to be a great deal better than the stockers.
