Transmission Cooler Hd 40,000 Gvw Tow Towing Tru-cool

tru cool tranny coolers good?? looking for a real good trans cooler for my 2001 f350 7.3. what do u think?? will be towing full size ford f150 several times per month. ebay has one here:

I have had one on my truck for quite awhile...drive in 100+ temps regularly throughout the southwest...never see 200 degree temps anymore with a 35' 5er or my car trailer. If you do much slow speed, desert crawling while pulling a load, get a unit with a fan. I had to add a fan on mine so I take my equipment out to my turquoise claims.

what kind of fan did u add?? i am in southwest as well. want to get best cooling posible?? thanks. rob.

B&M 70298 Hi Tek Cooling System Transmission Oil Cooler be better than without fan?? live in southwest with hot temps and lots of hills, etc. thanks.

I have a Hayden on my 01 350 and have no problems pulling my 6 horse trailer loaded. Im in Fl..and have pulled it loaded from here to Texas etc. and have never had temps go above 180*. Not sure about the tru cool...my tranny guy recomended the Hayden

I had an old one (electric fan) from a hot rod I built years ago...don't know the name of it. You won't need a fan unless you have to crawl (two-three miles per hour, like on steep mountain passes in the desert on dirt roads) If you are highway driving the TruCool by itself will serve you well. The B&M with a fan is a good unit too...check out Summit Racing for other choices.

the hayden cooler have an electric fan on it?? what is gvw rating on cooler? thanks.

I don't believe Hayden does make one with a fan...here is the biggest, fanned cooler, that B&M sells:
