piston help, what are these ?
Hi Guys, I have a set of pistons here, they were in a speed pro box, can't read the numbers, it has 302 ford written in black felt tip on the box. The pistons have a pretty big dome on them and have the number 7061P stamped in them. Anyone know what they fit ? DinosaurFan, on work's old cast off 'puter

If they're what I think they are, they're TRW forged 12:1 pop-ups. (I have a set but the box is buried too deeply to dig out right now)
Not the hot ticket for a street motor. Too much compression, unless you're using big-chambered heads. But flat tops have a better flame travel so you really want to stay away from pop-ups if you can. You might find someone willing to buy them who needs them for a race motor or something...
