whats the best way to lift a 94 Bronco 2.5 inches for 33 inch tires???
Hi all,
I've got 90 full size Bronco E.B. at stock higth. Before I put on new tires & Rims I had a set 15 x 8" or 9" rims with a set of 33 x 12.5 tires and every time I made a sharp turn, left or right, my tires always rubbed on the radius arms. Just put on a set of 15 x 10 American Eagle rims and 33" x 12.5 Yokohama A/T tires and I have no rubbing at all. The new wheels & tires stuffs the wheel wells good and looks very, very nice. as soon as I get some pictures I'll try to post them
So for all who might want Larger tires without the suspension lift, A good set of 15 x 10 rims will help solve the problem with the rubbing. I think the largest size tire with new rims would be 33 x 12.5.
I have already bought & payed for a 4" superlift suspension lift,
with the intire package. new radious arms, Leaf springs(no Blocks), coils, supper runner steering package, & shocks.
Hope this helps

LAST EDITED ON 22-Oct-01 AT 02:50 PM (EST)[p]If anything a wider wheel would make the tires more likely to rub the rad arms, *all other things being equal*. Most likely is that your new wheels have less backspacing than the previous set.

my 89 EB has 33X13.50 mickey thompson baja claws with no lift at all i had to take the running boards off though and i have 15X10 rims also (centerline hellcats) with a small amount of backspacing and only get a very ery slight rub at full turn but its only like a 1/2" so it doenst matter too much at all just my 2 cents

Just an update for your lift question. I don't like the body lifts my self, either. Stick with suspension lift.
I just picked up my 90 Bronco from the shop last week. Put on 4" Superlift suspension lift, Superrunner Steering linkage, coils, radious Arms, Leaf springs(no Blocks), & shocks. Just the Parts alone were about $2,400. Almost everybody I talked to regarding lifts was leaning towards this package that I had put on. Especially the Superlift Superrunner kit. It helps with the stearing geometry (Even if you go with another manufacturers Lift, it helps). If I need to go any higher I could go the cheap way and add 2" blocks in back and Spacers in coils up front & drop the TTB down one notch. Some of the new Suspension Parts are enterchangable between the 4" and 6" lift.
Curently Running tire size 33" x 12.5 Yokohama A/T on a set of 15 x 10 American Eagle rims. I Still have room for 35" tires if need be.
I have already had someone ask me if I want to sell my rig. I just looked over & smiled(basically laughing too myself saying he*@#@ no!!!) Too much fun with my toy. May go out wheeling tommorow up in Tahoe area, put this lift to the test.
Hope this helps

whats the best way to lift a 94 Bronco 2.5 inches for 33 inch tires???
Hi I am going to put a 4" or 6" lift on my F350(I know its not a bronco, but I tow a 5th wheeler). Your drop down brackets sound ajustable. Could you post a photo of them please and a part number. That way I could reset my front springs(leafs) to 4inch, hook up the gooseneck remeasure and if there is room reset the springs to 6 inch and put the ttb in next hole???
Thanks Steve
