1968 F100 Distributor wiring

I just bought a 1968 F100 short bed, the same week I got a 1963 ford econoline (The FORD gods have been good to me this week), Back to my question, the ignition wiring is all hacked up ( big bonus is it has a new points ditributor and coil, I want replace all the old wires and straighten it out so it looks better, Does anyone have a wiring diagram for 1968 F100 and get it running to check out the condition of the engine. Any help would be great.
Thanks
Jim

Jim, A jumper lead from the + post on the battery to the + post on the coil will let you get it fired up.Just make sure the small wire from the distributor is connected to the - post on the coil.Depending on how bad the harness is butchered you might be further ahead to look into replacing it.Hope this helps.

All 1968/69 Fords had problems with ignition switches shorting out. Ford replaced the switches with a different one which came with a new plug and wires with connectors on them. Here's the part number for the switch, but I don't know if it still comes with the plug. Despite the 1971 part number, these switches were only used on 1968 & 1969 E100/300's and F100/350's and all the cars. They WILL NOT work on the later trucks.
