Currently 3 08's at White's Ford in Urbana, Ohio.
Heading up US 68 through Urbana, Ohio and there they were. They had a Kind Ranch 350 SRW with the 6.4, a 550 XL flatbed with the 6.4, and a crewcab XLT with the 5.4.
My boss and I test drove one, and I got the honors to take it out first. First thing I noticed was how quiet the diesel was, and later on how clean smelling the exhaust was (Yes I smelled the exhaust just to see... I'm a loser!) Second thing was how tight the turning radius was, I couldn't believe it. Then I pulled out onto 68 North headed towards Bellefontaine. The power is unexplainable. It had impressive acceleration and it was smooth all the way up to about 70 MPH, which is as fast as I wanted to go on a 55 MPH road. The turbos made that good old whistling noise.
The only thing I didnt like real well was the tailgate step. I predict some improvements in the future. And the only reason I'm not crazy about it is the fact that if someone beats up the bed of the truck (for instance, forgets to drop the tailgate and pulls away after dropping a 5th wheel,) that could affect the step haha. Notice my one and only complaint wasn't anything worth worrying about!
While letting it warm up, I noticed after about a minute or so of it running, it bumped up to about 1000 RPM and stayed there for a few minutes. Got in the truck and she was toasty warm! Im assuming the high idle was for that purpose.
So if anyone in the central Ohio area dares to battle the oncoming snowstorm Tuesday, go take a look! They are supposed to be getting 6 or 7 more in, and the salesman wasn't real sure what all combinations were coming.
