Central Illinois members
I have been wanting to do a meeting for quiet some time. Well I finally have my own place so lets see what we can get going!! I live in a town 45 minutes from Champaign/Urbana Illinois. I will provide directions via PM to those who want to come. Anyways the meeting will be a gathering of "Gear Heads" Not just Ford Trucks due to the fact that there aren't many around. It will be open to all but I am mainly on Ford forums. I am looking to just have a relaxed gathering. If you are interested in this Please post here. That way I can Figure out how many are coming and it'll be easier to keep in contact. I am wanting to do this July 23 2011. That is on a Saturday.

I thought I was going to be a Central Illinois Member when that hellacious storm hit Quincy Sunday night. Blew down thousands of trees and we were without power for 2 days. Biggest tree in my yard got uprooted,but luckily only took out a couple sections of the neighbors fence instead of my garage or the power lines.

Reason I asked is because for 14 years I drove down I57 to Tuscola to pick up my kids for visitation. I know all the signs for the towns off the highway. Paxton, Gibson City, Rantoul, Roberts, Buckley, Gilman etc. Rankin is off the Paxton exit if I remember correctly.
I could be there in an hour and a half, though I don't see any free time that weekend.

Yes Rankin is off the Paxton exit. 11 miles east of Paxton on RT9.Well if you happen to have some spare time and want to come please do. Regardless I'll be around. Even if nobody shows. LOL At least I tried is how I feel. I do have a couple of people that are wanting to come. No clue as to what we'll do other then car talk and cookout.

I was reminded by my G/F that we are going to a concert in Champaign that evening. So I'm tryung to decide if we should move it to Sunday or try and have things wrapped up by 5. I'm not even sure what to do other then cookout and talk cars ect. Just hang out mainly. It would be nice if we could do it more often. I'll keep this upedated.

Also helping to bring home another "project" lol I have drug home 2 with her help. They are all projects in my eyes. I just can't leave well enough alone.

I have decided it will go from 10am till 4pm. Let me know by Thursday as to who is coming for lunch so I know how much to cook. I will cook burgers and hotdogs on the grill. I'll fire it up at noon. I'll have some drinks also and chips. This is just a gathering to meet new people. Thanks for all those who showed intrest. Also if your coming let me know so I can give u directions. My cell is 217-781-4000 incase you have any problems. Cell service in my town is kinda poor.
