Rotary Ejector Air Precleaners
there has been some debate on the usefulness of aftermarket air filters.
friend has a John Deere tractor with Rotary Ejector Air Precleaners and when the dust builds up in the other tractor's air cleaners, the JD is virtually dust free.

any CAI manuf out there, if you were to make something like this it may definately be a reason to buy aftermarket.
i know i would seriously consider buying one.

actually it is a JD6415 which has a little diff way of creating the centerfugal effect:
air coming into the air cleaner is spun and the heavier (dirt) particles migrate to the edge where they are sucked down a ~1" pipe which is under slight vacumn due to it terminus pre-fan w/in the radiator shroud.
very cool design; simple, no moving parts
