Disabling chime, buzzer, ding-dong

Has anyone disabled the chime, buzzer, ding-dong or whatever you call it? I know it serves a purpose as a reminder for keys or lights but dang it's anoying.

There's an easy procedure that involves removing the ignition switch. I'll see if I can find it.

On my 99 there is a plug thats under the big plastic cover at the base of the steering column. It comes from the ignition switch. There is a wire that is black with a pink stripe. I pulled it out of the plug and no more bing! Hope this helps!

And while you're out there doing the easy mods, you might as well do this one if you have and overhead console.

Zing!!!

On my truck, I've disabled the key-in-ignition dinger, the beltminder ding, and the lights-on dinger. Pure silence. Although, it does still do the initial 7-8 dings when you first turn the key to Run... gotta figure out how to get rid of that one, too.

I would like to toggle my dome lights. It would be nice to be able to have the doors open and toggle the lights off. Including the ones in the bottom of the doors.

I like the 6 dings when you turn the key to the on position, I put my sitbelt on and when the dings are done the "wait to start light" is out and I am ready to start her up...
