What year are you working on? It doesn't sound like a 48-52.

gee oh,
I went to my local automotive paint supply store and bought a product called "seam sealer." I think it was made by PPG, but I'm sure there are several out there to choose from. It comes in a cartridge that fits in your caulking gun, so application is easy after all the welding is complete. About $7-8 per tube a few years back and one tube did the entire cab. I also used it in the rain gutters, after I removed the old, cracked stuff (you can shape it with your finger before it cures, just like caulking). It is paintable and cures firm, yet some-what flexible.

A high grade paintable silicone caulk from your local home improvement store might work just as well, but I haven't tried it myself.

Good luck,
Kent
