'56 ford bed???
Could anyone e-mail me a close pic of a 56 ford bed .Or name a web-site with some pics. I bought this bed ,previous owner claims it is froma 56.IS IN TOO GOOD OF SHAPE TO BUTCHER IT, for my "79 f150. send to chewy_ocpa(No Email Addresses In Posts!)..THANKs

You can download some catalogs at the Dennis Carpenter website and probably figure out what you have. They have some good illustrations included.
I'll make some assumptions and take a guess, just for fun!
Assuming it is a short bed from a '56 F-100, the most noticeable difference would be the top of the bed sides are angled at 45 degrees and not flat. I think that would limit it to 53-72. There are slight differences in fenders/locations with respect to runnnig board attachment within these years, but if it was on a '56, that should narrow that down also.
