Question Issue with reverse

I dont know if this is a tranny problem or what but when I shift into reverse or through reverse in drive or park I hear a clicking sound coming from behind the steering column. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Thanks

Scott

I am also having problems with my rear parking sensors. Could these be related?

I wonder if there is some kind of relay for the rear sensors (they only engage when in reverse). Does it keep clicking (click click click click click) or does it just do it once when enabling reverse?

Also try key on, engine off.. put it in reverse.. does it still click? If so try crawling in there while it's clicking (make sure you enable parking brake and have engine off) and maybe pinpoint where it's coming from.

It clicks twice when I enable reverse. I think its some sort of relay like you mentioned. Thanks for your help and I will check it out tonight.
