Yeah, I was falling asleep when I read what you typed, I thaught you were growling or something, I failed to see the "p" untill I sent my replay, I said to heck with deleating my post

white smoke= unburnt fuel = non detonating cylinder = cold cylinder = bad glow plug system......

 

OR maybe since it happens when its cold, after he shuts hes truck off at night, all the excess full pressure is bleeding off through the bad injector orings and settleing in the cylinders. and then once he starts it in the morning all that unburnt fuel is creating white smoke and then all that extra fuel is burnt up the white smoke stops.
