Unhappy Need to reset AM/FM radio preset memory

According to my manual for my '93 Ford pickup AM/FM/Cassette radio, I need to 'reset' the "Station Memory Preset buttons". Has anyone ever had to do this type of reset and how/where is it done?

Thanks

find the station you want and then hold down the button for like 5 seconds and it will remember the station.

I've tried that a dozen times and it doesn't work. I select a station press and hold the preset button and ........ the radio changes to another station and saves that frequency instead!

I had to disconnect the battery to replace the rear in-tank fule pump and since re-connecting the battery, the 'frequency jump' keeps happening. The manual for the radio says to reset the Station Memory Preset buttons.

the service manual says hold button down until sound comes on try all buttons, turn off radio and turn on to see if they are set properly, if not , remove radio chassis and have it serviced.
