12' Camper on 70f100?

I have a 12 ft 71 el dorado camper. it came off of my 66f250. I traded the f250 in on a 70 f100 with 360 automatic long bed. will it fit on my 70?

The answer is YES the ElDorado camper will phsycally fit your truck, BUT your F100 is way too light to safely carry that camper, take a look at the thin rear springs alone, tires, front springs, ect, ect I wouldn't advise it under any circumstances!!

Their have been a lot of campers of that size used on 1/2 ton trucks. Helper springs, air bags or shocks can help. Load it, use it and unload it. A 3/4 ton truck would be better, no doubt.

I'd say a standard 8' camper is about all the stock F100 will safely hold. Beef up the suspension and then the 10' should not be a problem. What is the trucks GVW rating now, 5,000?
