I dont think the flow is in question, it's the filtering thats in question, i would rather have clean air being sucked into my engine

In retort, if your going to be loser and put your vehicle in off road situations nine times out of ten, then maybe thats where you might not get clean air going into your motor. But if your like me, where i keep it on the road, theres nothing wrong with using the filter, if your in places where your worried about dirty air going into your motor, your over looking the fact that it wont be just the motor you should be worrying about, try every thing else that takes direct burden of offroading ect....Also, the thread is about flow, if he wasnt interested in getting extra flow, then he would have no need to investigate in getting a K&N.

These are all from the same thread

quote:FordF350Baby The K&N Cold Air Intake is a great way to make you feel like you have something going on under the hood without dropping all your cash down for a turbo. I have one for my 1995 F350 460, and all it did was help make that engine roar more, but the power is unaffected, it also whistles, which makes a man feel good. So, I will give it that, it sounds kick ***. If you expect to get power from your air filter, your looking in the wrong place, its just a method of breathing.

quote:FordF350Baby I put a K&N Cold air intake into my truck. the thing is amazing, any one whos knows or is into performance knows that this thing rocks. I put it on my 1995 7.5 v8. The thing is amazing when slamming the gas, it makes so much noise, and whistles while accelerating, people think i have a turbo because were moving so fast, and making so much noise. Of course in order to get maximum horsepower and MPG, you need to have a full exhaust system. Its sad to hear how no one talks about how cool these filters are.

You guys are blowing it out of proportion. This thread is blown out of proportion, this is page 5 of responses. I am referring to the fact that my truck is moving fast, which it is, K&N unrelated, but passengers probably think I have a turbo charger because it whistles, but its unrelated. In a sense, it is a mocked mini version of a turbo charger, same concept, bringing in more air, and denser cooler air, just not at such an epic rate as a turbo charger or nearly as complex as a turbo. Can we drop this now??
