Question Speedometer Calibration on E350 Diesel Van

Does anyone know if the speedometer can be calibrated on a 2000 E350 Diesel Van by changing a gear at the end of the speedo cable or does it need to be calibrated electronically??? Thanks for any help!

There should be a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the drivers side of the transmisions tail shaft extension. The VSS will have a gear on it that can be changed. Don't know if your computer can be recalibrated or not. The VSS "reports" to the computer electronically, there is no speedo cable like on the old cars.

On a 2000 there is no speed sensor in the trans. It's taken from the rear axle. You'll need a tuner to change tire size.
