500-1000 miles. althouht i thought this was kinda redunet, cause tell you to drive it all kinds of ways, fast, slow, hard, and easy. you want the truck to break in to your driving habits. so seems to me if you going to tow alot you want to break it in towing. but ford says to wait so i wait.....

It's not the motor that you really need to worry about before towing persay, it's the tranny. Give the tranny some time to get the gears and such to mate properly, your tranny will thank you!

Also the clutch packs in the tranny need "seated".

are you saying that 350 miles is your break in? i noticed thats a 250 does it call for a break in? do you do all your trucks this way with no problems?

the 250 also has a heavy duty tranny, it doesn't ( i don't think ) have a 4R70 or a 4R75 like the half tons...

It really doesn't matter what tranny you have there is a reason for the reccomended break in time....It really does make a difference in tranny longevity.
