Helper springs

I have a 1977 F150, 2wd. I know the payload limits, and was wondering if the leaf spring "helper" springs I saw in JC Whitmney are worth putting on. I just want to be able to carry loads without the bed laying so low, so I can unload without any problems. Any body have any experience with these helpers, and are they any good?

If the one's your looking at are made by Hellwig, then you'll be okay.I've installed quite a few and they seem to be the best (for quality/price).

The cheapest and best way might be to put on a 9 or 11 leaf pack from a F100/F-150 4x4. Should be a bolt in swap for that year truck.
