You are running lean, it is not normal to ping. If you can richen your A/F ratio with the HyperTech, do so. The CAI may be the reason as a lot of programmer's don't adapt properly to CAI's. I would try higher octane fuel first and see if that helps with the issue. If not, then try to richen the A/F if possible. Then remove the CAI.

Sorry, for some reason, I can't see your sig today, but you may need to try cleaning the MAF if you have a K&N type filter. It could have a light oily residue on it causing a faulty reading and making it run lean. Use an electical type contact cleaner and just spray it down real good. I wouldn't touch the filiments, they are very fragile.

A little trick that I was told about concerning the minor aftermarket add-ons, and I'm not sure how this really matters, but so far it has worked for me:
Before installing any minor aftermarket mods (FIPK, TB, spacer, headers, cat-back, even plugs and coils) return the truck to it's stock programming. Return the truck back to it's day one program by disconnecting the battery or removing the fuse for the ECU (thanks Jimmy) for a few hours to allow the capacitor memory back up to discharge and reset the learned programming. During the time you're waiting to reconnect/plug things in clean the sensors and TB. Reconnect the battery or plug in the fuse for the ECU and drive for a few days, so the truck adapts it's stock programming to the new part. Then put your aftermarket program in.
One thing to remember, and this should be in the directions that came with the tuner- the aftermarket tune is set up for 91-93 octane. To run this tune with 87-88 octane most programmers recommend changing the timing. If you are running the tune with 85 octane (high altitude), don't... Ford recommends 87 as it is with these engines, and the timing adjustment to compensate for that low of an octane rating would cause you to loose any performance gains with the new tune... so it would be pointless.
