motor pinging

i have a 5.4 engine 2001 f150, when i give it half to full throttle the engine is pinging, the more the throttle more the pinging, what do i do to fix it, please any advice????

Try cleaning the MAF and replacing the fuel filter. I would also check the EGR ports, they may be clogged.

hook a computer up to it and see if it pulls any codes up.

clean your maf and use higher octane fuel, aslo take a look at your fuel filter.

It depends on where the ping is coming from and all the above listed will help.

I found my pinking on acceleration coming from the injectors. I could feel it in the fuel rail. I poured in 1/3 of a can of seafoam into the fuel rail and let it run for a few seconds, shut it off for 5 minutes and restarted. It has not made a noise since. I also poured seafoam directly into the throttle body and 1 can in the tank. I can also feel restored power.
