True Flow Air Filter

Anybody ever heard of the True Flow Air Filter? If so, what have you heard, good and bad. I have one and am debating on putting it in.

I haven't heard of it either. Would be concerned with how well it filtrates, and flows. I would personally recommend going with the 6637 mod; I had very good results from day one.

Yea, not to mention that it can be the stock air box that can leak, and cause poor filtering too.... I'd say to stay away from drop in filters. I would also vote for the 6637, or if you are concerned about warranty issues, an AIS.

The 6637 is HIGHLY recomended on this site as is the AIS and Donaldson. The AFE is great but overpriced (notice what I have!)

tell ya what, this filter, true flow, sure does look rigid and thick. I know that does not mean diddly, but im just saying. Cant help but to have a tight seal because of the way the lip is made 1/2 inch of foam rubber. nevertheless, i still have it in the box and Not on the truck cause i just dont know anything about it.

off topic, was the problrm with the k&n due to poor filtering or a poor seal(failing to fit the air box)

I believe the kn lets to much dust through it, whether it is in drop in form or conical. At least thats what I have picked up from this site.

Yes. Both have been an issue -- reports of dusty turbos and intake tubes have been seen with drop-ins as well as their conical solution.

This is what the intake tube looked like on a K&N after-market intake equipped truck a friend of mine had:
