Please HELP...What EXACTLY is a Snow Plow Prep package???

Please HELP...What EXACTLY is a Snow Plow Prep package??? I just ordered a 2006 F-350 from Ford and got an extra $500 rebate by ordering the Snow Plow Prep package which cost about $85 netting me over $400 in savings. I got the V10 by the way. Thanks!

It's a prep package for installing a snow plow.

Just kidding. A typical snowplow prep package from the factory may consist of heavy duty front springs and shock absorbers, power steering cooler and the light wiring harness. Ford's "86M" option code includes computer selected springs (850# max snow plow weight,) including 100# permanent attachment limit, 140-amp alternator, and a unique fan clutch.

Some of those are for the PSD ONLY, I attached the link to the actual Ford ordering guide that shows the break down for the option packages.

So as far as information and specs on my 2006 F-350, is this the biggest and best resource on the net??? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Look at the info under Super Duty F-Series, it will make your head spin.
