No one makes headers for the 226, If you are interested I have a manifold for a car that can be divided in half and you can have duals that way. What is wrong with your manifold?

My truck is also a 49 f3 rescued from chicken coop in michigan in progress of frame off restoration. Old manifold is busted where bolts go in. Also, exhaust valve is badly deteroiated. Will it work without valve inside? Just retired from navy and want to get this on the road

Are you thinking of the heat riser valve that is associated with the exhaust manifold? Or do you mean one of the exhaust valves in the engine?

If you are talking about the valve to heat the intake manifold, yes it will run without it. My 51 226 has been my daily driver for a year now and it runs ok without it. You mat experience some stumble in the carb on takoff when driving for a short distance. But it's something you learn to live with, it's just the nature of the beast.

Hope this helps
