More Bass

Hi. I have an 8" subwoofer and enclosure, but was wondering if there was anyway to increase the bass output without an amp. Is there a way around getting an amp? I have teh original stock rear speakers, two 6X9 front Infinity Kappa's and a Kenwood head unit. Decent, but no bass barely. This is for my '250

to keep this short and easy nope the head unit will send only so much power to the sub and it sounds to me like you are there. next step for more bass is an amp

With an 8" speaker, you don't need much power. Probably 30 to 75 watts max, depending on the speaker and what it can handle. Don't try to over power the speaker as this will cause premature failure. A 75 watt amp is pretty cheap and small enough to conceal anywhere. I was driving two 8's with 35 watts each and it sounded great. Don't let people kid you. You don't need 2000 watts to get good bass. For those guys, its the ability to blast a sub for everyone to hear OUTSIDE the vehicle. If you are looking for just good bass inside the truck, take my advice. All you need is a little control. You won't be sorry.
