Like I say, the upfitter switches were factory installed so I imagine that if these are the wires I just have to hook up to them and use a chassis ground?

Just for reference. My vehicle is a 2005 f350 V10. I've looked in the manual front to back. I'm sure I'm missing the reference to the upfitter switches. Where in your manual did you find the reference?
Yah Buddy you're right about hooking them up to the through the firewall wires. Those are just there to keep you from having to punch your own through. I think it's a great perk! I found absolutely no references in the 05 manual. Have used the wires and did the idle up mod...Too cool...They'll be great for accessory lights too!!

As a new member to this site, I do not know how to access this information from your signature. I clicked on everything, but could not get to the information. Can you please explain how to do this? Thanks.

I have the same problem as Crazy Jerry. How do I get the upfitter info by clicking on your signature?

They will sell the switches to dealers with an R.O. number, but not over the counter to the general public. The reason stated was that customers have bought them and screwed up the install and have brought the trucks in for repair. I would have thought this was BS, but I listened to the conversation with the rep in Michigan. We'll see what happens when I go back on Monday and provide them with the part number and tell them to order it for me.
I was able to purchase the kit (included switches and a harness) from the local dealer. He had them in stock in the parts department. If I remember, it was less expensive than buying it as an installed option - $60 - $70.

Dao, this thread is over a year old. Evidently he has changed his signature since then and removed the link. What exactly are you trying to figure out, I am sure someone here can help?

I want to use the factory upfitter switches on a couple of things, and need a schematic or wiring diagram to find where to hook them up and where the wires are. I have 2006 f250 4x4 6.0 Powerstroke.

dao57,

Here are the links to the diagrams and pictures of all the customer access wires under the dash (Pass-thru(4), Upfitter(4), SEIC(11)).
