Ride Height, why such a difference

I drive a stock 99F-150XL. I'm not the first owner of this truck. When I park beside other F-150's I notice a difference in ride height, my being somewhat higher sitting than others. Does Ford have a lift option available? Recently replaced the stock tire size with 255's didn't really raise the truck any just filled the wheel wells more than anything.

If its 4wd the previous owner may have adjusted the torsion bars some to gain a little bit of lift.

My 97 is the same way I have a 97 4x4 so I think 4wd naturally sit a bit higher than regular f 150s

It's a 4X4, but side by side with other 4X4's its still a little higher, even with a canopy on it. Just wondering if it was an option offered.

No, someone has probably cranked up the torsion bars and made it taller.
