I am trying to find out if any Bronco II'2 had smaller tanks than 23 gallons. My Bronco only takes 10-12 gallons to fill it up when the gauge reads empty. I can't find any information that says Ford had a smaller tank than 23 gallons.

 

23 Gal. is the B2 standard size. Never heard of anything different and all replacement tanks are also 23 gal. Better check your sender.

 

I wonder if the fuel pump and sending unit were replaced with something different.

 

Like what? If I remember right the 86+ had 2 pumps. Don`t know about the sender but I`d guess they`re pretty much the same for the elec. pump broncs. Of course I could be wrong! LOL.

 

mine does the same its a 23 but someone put a ranger float in it so it has 10 gallons after it says empty

 

common mistake people assume since there on the same frame and many parts go both ways that they work
