you need a power steering pump, a power steering box ,the hoses , and possibly the pitman arm. Adoner truck or a friendly junkyard is a cool thing, bob

the same year of truck would be best , probably less than a hundred bucks, specially if you pull it your self, look for parts that still have fluid in them and that the hoses and bracket are all attached to , and make sure to get the spacers that go beteen the brackets and the head on the engine and the bolts and the power steering cooler ,if it has one,so the seals will not be dry rotted and youll have a chance at not having to rebuild them,it doesnt have to be a 390 , it can be almost any FE engine, bob

It's a direct bolt in swap. You will need:

p/s box with pitman arm
p/s hoses
pump with brackets for your motor
column (p/s column is shorter)
belt

You can mix and match parts although a 2wd FE donor truck would be easiest. The box needs to be off any 73-79 F100-F350 2wd. The belt, hoses and pump with brackets needs to be for a 73-76 2wd with FE engine. You may also need different engine pulleys to accept another belt - depends on what you have now... The column can come from any 73-79 2wd with p/s and the same shifter setup. Or you can get the center shaft from any 73-79 2wd ps column and swap it into your column housing. All in all, it's a simple swap, took me about an hour for the whole thing and is DEFINATELY worth the expense...
