Need suggestions on brake light issue

Everything was working fine till recently. Tails, turns and hazards work but my brake and reverse lights stopped. Brake light switch is working fine. Where does it connect to the turn signal wires for the brake light feed? Is it in the column? How could it be related to the reverse lights not working now??

Everything should go through the column into the turn signal switch. Must have lost connection in there somewhere.

well I completely disassembled the turn signal switch, cleaned all the contacts with a wire wheel and carb cleaner, put it back together and now the brake lights work again. Still no reverse lights, but I'm leaning towards another issue for that.
