No, but Hotrod put one on a stock Mustang and said that the throttle response improved. MAC makes a good inexpensive one.

Thumbs up

put a BBK TB on my 4.6 and combined with an intake, it makes a very recognizable difference in mid range rpm acceleration and throttle response. Worth the money in my opinion.

i would go with the bbk tb too. i have one on my 4.6 and like tchernosky said it adds good mid range power and easy to install. i would port the intake elbow to. ted98 has a lot off info on that. he also my have a stock elbow that you can port. just make sure you get a elbow off a 5.4 and not a 4.6. the 5.4 has a different egr and iac connection. hope this will help.

Where did you find that apout porting the elbow. It seems like it would be impossible to bore out an elbow. Are you just taking about shaving the inlet part to match up and not boring it out the whole way. Where did you find info on this. I am curious if it would be expensive or even possible????

the material in the elbow is some what thick. you have the room to remove material thought out the whole elbow. that is what i have done. the lower elbow is already big enought for a 75mm tb. the opening is only 70mm and drops to about 68mm. i open the opening to 75mm. the lower opening was opened up to support about a 80mm tb. the lower was only port matched to the gasket but from what i measured it sould support an 80mm tb if needed. in the other post i left for you, i will tell you about ted98. he has a lot of info and pic of what he and i have done.
